The Corrèze department’s version of a coffee shop? A spectacular windowed facade with rounded edges that gives way to a boutique and tasting room where you can sip your specialty java in a space with stone walls, concrete floors, farm tables, and filter holders doubling as coat hooks! Behind the counter, you’ll find Basile Continsouzas (a former math teacher) and Laure Alexandre (a graphic designer) dealing out their well-chosen beans from Brazil, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Indonesia, all properly roasted once a week in their atelier located just a stone’s throw away. In house, grab any of the following: a full-bodied espresso, a well-poured latte, a V60 pour-over coffee worth ten drip coffees… Also worth sipping are the homemade juices and teas (Parti du Thé), and for a bite to eat, grab one of pastries of the day (walnut cake, chocolate lava cake, etc.), which are often made by Basile’s mom and dad. // Larosé
