Goodbye Ethylo, hi there Fox Den! Just two shakes away from Josaphat Park, the untiring Harouna Saou (Life Is Beautiful) has transformed an old neighborhood bar into a sly little den for lovers of cunning concoctions. Gathered around the massive oak bar, the fantastic Mister Fox detonates alcoholic (and booze-free) flavor explosions across a cocktail menu that journeys across the world. That evening at apéro hour: an invigorating Corpse Reviver No.2 with gin, triple sec, Americano, lemon and absinthe (€10), straight out of the Savoy Cocktail Book; a slurpilicious Mezcal Tommy’s Margarita mixing mezcal, tequila, lime and agave syrup (€10), that smacks of San Francisco. We could have easily gone Greek with the Greece, blending origan mastika, mezcal, lemon and aquafaba (€12), or even the Lisboa Tonico with dry white port, almond liqueur, tonic and saline solution (€10).
