Ohi-ooh-hi-oooh! That’s the rallying cry of vinophiles swinging from vine to vine at Tarzan, where the photos hanging on the walls are slightly wonky, but the collection of naturist bottles (served by Typhaine Merel and her team) set things straight: Hervé Villemade, Julien Guillot, Tony Bornard, Denis Hebinger, Camille and Mathieu Apffel, Alexandre Giquel… Inside, there are three rooms and three distinct atmospheres: window side, if you want to see and be seen; further on, dim lighting for a moody vibe; and at the back, tables filled with friends for endless evenings. Who, to pace themselves, knock back small plates that pack a punch: plump Welsh rarebit, pork rillettes nabbed at Wesley’s, goat’s milk tomme cheese from Julien Hazard… And where’s Jane in all of this? She’s the wine shop over at number 63! // Sam Oops

THE BULLET-PROOF BOTTLE: Ça Faye 13, a Loire cabernet franc from Philippe Delmée (€34.20).
