There’s no more aspirin on the shelves of this old pharmacy located a stone’s throw from the Scheldt River now that a naturalist wine shop has taken over. Welcome to Titulus, named after its big sister in Brussels – and owned by the same partners, Baptiste Lardeux, Vivien Blot and Agathe Kerivel-Plumereau. To go with its clever name (titulus pictus refers to the Roman stamp you’d find jugs of wine, aka the ancestor of modern labels), a handful of other names from the wine world that will leave you feeling parched: Landron, Sabre, Jousset, Pfifferling… Two hundred natural labels in total that you can either take to go or pop open in house, in exchange for a €10 corkage fee. From his improvised kitchen, Arthur Juif sends out small plates that sponge up the libations, like the roasted celeriac, hazelnut and shaved Parmesan combo, or cod with creamy parsnips and chamomile-infused butter. And most importantly, don’t skip the sticky toffee pudding, a recipe by the Australian chef’s grandmother. // Janjan Bon

The bullet-proof bottle: Fizzy Witches, a sparkling wine produced as a collaboration between Athénaïs de Béru and Vins & Volailles (€40.70).
