THE STORY: Originally, it was a church. Then it was used as a ballroom and, in turn, a furniture store, all before becoming a bed & breakfast with oversized volumes and New York loft vibes, featuring artsy wood, concrete, metal and clay details. In addition to a spacious living room and a library, the owners, Anne-Laurence and Philipe Schiepan, set up four big contemporary bedrooms in this rare spot, an ideal refuge for new encounters and discoveries. Double rooms starting at €200 a night.
TOILETRIES: Liquid savon de Marseille soap made with argan oil and green tea, and “Geneviève Patou” shampoo with honey and honeysuckle from the Rampal Latour Savonnerie, plus small soaps made with milk from Camargue mares.
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: Included, with coffee, green or black tea, yogurt, fromage blanc, fresh fruit juice, fruit salad, toast made from freshly baked bread, jam from Cornouilles, honey, almond crisps, muesli and eggs upon request.
MINI-BAR: No, but there is a refrigerated armoire with non-alcoholic drinks and fresh snacks available for guests.
LITTLE LUXURY: The magnificent private terrace, where you can discuss coffee with the barista in the morning, and have an apéritif with tapas at night.
