Outdoor seating on a small square nestled between two alleyways, the last rays of sunshine kissing the facade, imposing stone arches… Everything feels rather poetic at this bar run by friends Romain Guesdon, Adèle Steuer and Nicolas Livache, where naturalist wine enthusiasts gather to quench their thirst, choosing between oh-so many carefully chosen labels. The night we went, we savored a few glasses of Coeur de Raisin, a melon de Bourgogne produced by Marc Pesnot (€6 a glass) and La MAT, a Roussillon carignan from Bota Nostra (€5), all while eyeballing bottles of Partie Fine, a Gers blend of ugni blanc and colombard made by the Domaine Jeandaugé (€26), or Falstaff, a Gard grenache-cinsault blend from Xoan Arias (€24). The short selection of locally-made craft beers on tap is also worth considering (Brasserie des Garrigues, La Malpolon, Sacrilèdge, €3.50 to €8.50 a pint), as are the house snacks that’ll keep you going: homemade tapenade (€5), Comté aged for 18 months (€4), pork rillettes from the Boucherie de la Ferme (€6.50)… // Megan Linar
