THE STORY: At the heart of Annecy’s historic center, right near the lake, an old wing of the Saint-Joseph convent has been transformed into a small, hospitable hotel with an attached home goods boutique. Classily designed by Delphine and Benoit, each of the twelve pretty rooms captures a different mood: Scandinavian in the Pink Nordic; studious in the Oscar Wilde; luxurious in the Blue Jungle…. And don’t forget about their light wood cabin, nestled into the big garden, where you can daydream or take a family nap amongst the trees. Double rooms starting at €110 a night.
TOILETRIES: Meraki shower gel, shampoo and soap.
INTERNET: Free (wifi).
BREAKFAST: Buffet (included), with coffee or tea, viennoiseries, cakes from the Pan et Gato bakery in Annecy, charcuterie, artisanal yogurts and cheeses, crepes, freshly squeezed orange juice.
MINI-BAR: No, but residents can order the drinks of their choice 24 hours a day.
