THE STORY: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” This reflection by Leonardo de Vinci is displayed on the website’s front page. Less is more in this very big luxury chalet. Formerly Marc Veyrat’s La Ferme de mon Père, this altitude chic hotel is made up of multiple chalets, and was taken over by Arnaud Zannier who, with his Belgian touch, is responsible for the sublime décor, quasi-Jansenist: wood, raw materials, light, simply put. The spa is perfectly rigorous. The nouveaux riches will hate it and leave it for lovers of discreet luxury with fat Hermès leather wallets to enjoy. As for the skiing, a traditional “mazot” by Lacroix offers up all of the necessary material. Rooms by €550 to €4 000, each with an individual balcony or a private deck.

TOILETRIES: Zannier Hôtels shower gel, shampoo, conditioner.
SPA: From €70 for a caviar honey exfoliation to €180 for a signature anti-aging treatment with Aromatherapy Associates products.
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: Included with viennoiseries and warm little breads, coffee, fresh fruit, cheeses, butter and dairy from the mountains (from the master cheese-dairy producers Pascal Beillevaire or la Ferme Les Montagnards), charcuteries from the region’s master charcutiers…
MINI-BAR: A bottle of Château Saint Maur rosé (a bottle of champagne in the suites), a Nespresso machine in the suites, fruit juices, sodas in the mini-bars and customized alcohols upon request.
LITTLE LUXURY: A private chauffeur can drive you to dinner in a Range Rover.
