Prepare yourselves for… tacocoricos! Welcome to La Bagarre, Elliot Lefèvre’s latest fight to date (in the past, he could be found tearing things up at La Parade and La Riposte), where rowdy tortillas made by Los Cuates get stuffed with delicious toppings inspired by your local French bistro. Stepping into the recycled tomette tile ring, a team of antojitos (Mexican street food snacks) are given the Parisian treatment, starting with hard-boiled eggs with chipotle mayonnaise and accras made with leek tops (so as not to waste any part of the vegetable), before round two: juicy shredded boeuf bourguignon tacos, with grated carrots and fried shallots, or Sunday-style roast chicken tacos with mayo, lettuce and pickled mustard seeds. What else? We spotted an indecently decadent raclette cheese quesadilla on a nearby table – which would undoubtedly have knocked us out for good. // Noël Flantier
