Allison Kave and Jennifer Crain (Izzy’s) don’t take any bullshit! The duo are continuing their quest for inclusive apéro hours at this lovely bar with seventies wallpaper and bright furniture. At the bar, sip on an insolent Tamarindo (blanco tequila, dry amontillado sherry, panela syrup, tamarind paste, lime juice, salt and chili powder – €13) or a tempestuous Cel-Ray on tap (gin, fresh celery and fennel seed syrup, oleo saccharum and aquavit – €12). Not to big on ethanol? The house also offers up a selection of exciting soft drinks, including a sparkling Gazoz (fermented kiwi, star anise syrup, black pepper and bird’s eye chili, lemon juice and seltzer water – €7), even better with a delicious cornbread that’s lightly spiced and covered in maple syrup butter (€7). // Jackie Pépite
