At Le Cadoret, we c-adore everything! The vintage feel (mosaic tile floors, an old-fashioned bar, timeworn mirrors), the morning coffee served at the bar, the apéros with ham & cheese croissants and craft beers, the jazzy playlists composed by Louis Fleuriot, and of course the dishes made by his sister Léa, who brightens up the everyday grind in the upper Belleville neighborhood with her good home cooking, bursting with fresh herbs and contrasting flavors. Featured on the menu the other day at lunch: exhilarating Greek-style mushrooms with loads of cilantro and toasted spices; coalfish surfing on a wave of corn, tender eggplant steaks and a magical siphoned aioli; before an incredibly sensual floating island, with a vanilla cream infused with fig leaf and electric, raw rhubarb. At night, Léa’s classics make an appearance: chicken with vinegar sauce, breaded skate, crème caramel… // R.deC.

FEELING THIRSTY? Let yourself be guided by Louis and his good finds: a Coteaux-du-Vendômois white from Patrice Colin (€6 a glass), an Adèche Syrah from Andrea Calek (€40 a bottle), an Aude Carignan from Jean-Louis Pinto (€45)…
