Adélaïde and Grégory Perissel are seeing double! Owners of Les Deux Sardines in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, the couple has also been keeping busy in Lancieux since 2014. Here, Adélaïde the chef has set up her open kitchen inside a former lifeguard station on Saint-Sieu beach, cooking up some quality fast food on the terrace with views of the sea. Served à la carte, you’ll find Breton-inspired dishes: pulled pork and tomme cheese from La Ferme de La Renaudais on buckwheat blinis; fine oysters from Cancale; grilled sardines with cream of feta. Yet other dishes come from elsewhere: well-seasoned chicken shawarma with hummus and preserved lemon; a Thai salad made with marinated fish, sesame, soy and peanuts; or a salad of green wheat, hummus, eggplant, chickpeas and fromage blanc with za’atar. Not to mention the comforting red berry pavlova, or the profiterole-style cream puff, or even fromage blanc with homemade granola and watermelon, for dessert. // M.B.
FEELING THIRSTY? Iced teas, kombucha, elderberry lemonade (€3 to €4.40) and a few bottles at €22 — a Loire white from Vincent Caillé, a Saumur-Champigny from the Domaine des Sanzay or an Aude rosé from Les Cabanes.
