A stone’s throw from Saint-Briac beach, you’ll find an elegant tearoom/pastry shop opened by the restaurant Le Nessay’s pastry chef, Gaëtan Bourcin. It fills up quick at snacktime, thanks to its divinely light millefeuille; its Tropical Guava pastry composed of guava mousse with a vinegary lemon caramel center, vanilla panna cotta and shortbread crust made with fleur de sel; and its crunchy Je Craque pastry, which may look like an ice cream popsicle, but the intensely flavorful dark chocolate shell is actually filled with rice pudding and a caramel center. If you’re more in the mood for a quick snack, there are lots of salted caramel cookies, diamond-shaped shortbread cookies, plump financiers and organic Breton Mademoiselle Fayel ice creams that’ll have you dropping to your knees from your seat on the cushioned banquette! // Catherine Jamon
