If you’re coffee shopping on Rue des Mineurs, you might as well do it with all the comfort, friendliness and frothy attention to detail that characterize Constantin Café. This small, concrete-laden spot that feels like an brutalist antique shop – which is all down to Mihail Trusca, the former owner of Volga – mixes the old and new with flair, from the chrome Marzocco to the old-fashioned floral paintings. El Salvadorian and Brazilian coffee from Brussels-based Wide Awake Coffee gets paired with organic milk from the Laiterie des Ardennes, for flat whites, cappuccinos and macchiatos.
