When arriving to the Il Pastaiolo boutique, don’t be surprised to find a line of people waiting… You’ll understand why once you take your first bite! And the cuoco Nicola Lufrano, a pasta-lover from the very start, knows how make choosing nearly impossible with his profusion of tasty little dishes. Since you can’t take it all home with you, you’ll have to choose between beef carpaccio, vitello tonnato, polpo alla griglia (grilled octopus) and artichokes seasoned with mint for the antipasti course, before opting for penne all’amatriciana, mushroom ravioli or ricotta-spinach pansotti… Not craving pasta today? Opt instead for the rice-stuffed cuttlefish, the veal polpette, the lemon chicken or even the ossobuco prepared with gremolata. Before leaving, you can even grab a Giuseppe Giusti balsamic vinegar aged for 15 years, or a Nonino grappa made with a picolit base. Tutto in abbondanza! // Kiko Zushi
