It’s all good when it comes to coffee! Especially at Kami, located at a busy intersection in Saint-Gilles, where a relaxed crowd spreads out between the wooden banquettes, vintage armchairs and sumptuous little garden courtyard out back. That’s because Elias Calcoen and Clara Putz (ex-Mokxa in Lyon) hand select all of their products, both those used to make their well-made potions and their homemade sweets. We’re talking about things like an impeccable cappuccino and a comforting banana and peanut butter muffin that kept us company one early afternoon… What else is there? Matcha lattes, golden milk lattes, V60 pour-overs… and lots of quality tea, including a Vietnamese oolong. And if you want to do some grocery shopping, check out their shelves stocked with bags of Dak Coffee Roasters beans (including a Plumeti bean from Peru), loads of drippers (like the excellent Origami dripper) or even a range of chai teas. // Aline Flamme
The hidden gem: There are some incredible flapjacks to pair with your coffee, those little Anglo-Saxon biscuits made with oats and maple syrup (€2.80).
