Healthy, colorful eats inspired by the Mediterranean… Mica has it all! The take-away spot created by former New Yorker Myriam Zylberman opened originally its doors in the Uccle neighborhood back in 2016 before being taken over by Emma Gerardin, a former customer. After taking control of the kitchen, she now offers up sunny dishes on the daily, which feel like a one-way trip to the south – legumes, salads, gratins, galettes, beignets and pasta dishes. The day we went, we opted for: chili-spiced muhammara; white bean hummus; a few savory Lebanese tarts; cabbage, cashew and lime salad; crepes filled with spinach and herbs. All of which were served with freshly baked Lebanese bread. Otherwise, opt for the lamb, plum and almond tajine to go, which you reheat in the calm of your own home. Thirsty? There are some delicious bottles of natural wine produced by Alexandre Bain available. // Kiko Zushi
The hidden gem: The marinated Scottish salmon in a tahini and za’atar sauce (€6.60 for 100 g).
