Handmade sourdough bread that won’t break the bank! Located between Saint-Victor and Les Catalans, the aptly-named Ambre Baker and her friend Virgile Arlaud bake using quality T65 flour. For lunch, the day we went? A flamboyant and thin tomato tart with wholegrain mustard, plus an anchovy-heavy pissaladière. Other options worth savoring: beautiful sandwiches (like the ciabatta with fresh tomatoes, stracciatella, basil and pomodoro sauce), a lovely lemon cake moistened by Italian preserved lemon vinegar, tasty chocolate-hazelnut babka, traditional breads (seeded or unseeded, gluten or gluten-free, and even one made with sesame and candied ginger). // Juliettte Mallat
