What could be better than a glass of wine? Relaxing with a glass of wine and a good book! That’s the conclusion that the American Richard Bolte and the Belgian Jorien Caers came to, two bookworms turned stellar booksellers, when they gave this elegant house near the train station a manor-style makeover. The name? It’s a reference to the followers of Ned Ludd, a militant Englishman from the late 18th-century who was opposed to the replacement of workers by machines. After choosing (and paying for) your book from a carefully-curated selection, most notably of English literature, the bright bar (two floors up) welcomes in all those hungry for spiritual food… and earthly libations too: MeuZenne vière produced by Vin de Liège; Pulp Fiction, an Austrian natural white from Maccherndl; or Piu, an Andalusian red from Tierra Savia, vinified and aged in amphora.
