THE STORY: If you want to gain access to Casa Youm, you’ll have to heave open the massive studded door to this haven located in L’Estaque, a village on the outskirts of Marseille. Running this little corner of paradise? Tunisian-born Amira Tarhouni (the former manager at Berlutti) and the French-Italian photographer Édouard Méchin. Their intimate spot is surrounded by a luxurious five-acre estate, equipped with a shady veranda, an outdoor lounge and an immense terrace adorned with Majorelle, azure, marine and midnight blue tones, all to better highlight the pool. What’s inside? Nube and Sole, the two double rooms with terra cotta-colored sheets, stone sinks and gold tiled showers, plus Terra, a 50 m2 suite with a Berber rug, light wood, sleek furniture and an incredible bathroom. The cherry on top? Each bedroom has its own terrace with views of the sea… Double rooms starting at €220 a night, suites starting at €320.
