THE STORY: Marie and François headed south fifteen years ago to reinvent organic agriculture, discovering that the cultivation of saffron, which once flourished in Provence, had been abandoned. They took over an old farm to try to grow these precious crocuses, and renovated it by creating a few spacious bedrooms and ecological suites (whitewashed walls, raw wood, linen sheets). Amongst the house’s assets: a summer kitchen, where guests can prepare their own meals, a big pool and a hot tub with a view of the Montmirail mountaintops. Rooms from €170 to €220.
TOILETRIES: Marius Fabre organic olive oil products (soap, shower gel, shampoo and body lotion).
INTERNET: Free.
BREAKFAST: Included, organic, and changes every day. Example: fruit compote made with fruits from the garden, yogurt, jams, juice and homemade cake, organic breads, goat cheese from the village, honey.
LITTLE LUXURY: The weekend truffle-saffron package with an introduction to the cultivation of saffron and the cuisine of the tuber by the owners.
