THE STORY: This beautiful family home in old Avignon, located near the Palais des Papes, was renovated from head to toe by Gilles and Amaury, two Parisian aesthetes. Passionate about art, they transformed it into a timeless space, equipped with five suites decorated with their personal collections: an eastern ambiance in the Consul suite, with Egyptian art objects and antique trunks; a spectacular canopy bed and gouaches of Mount Vesuvius erupting in the Naples suite; an invitation to laze around (or more if the mood strikes…) in the beautiful Aphrodite suite with its round bed, 18th-century Vernet-style folding screen and big terrace… But that’s not all! La Divine Comédie also has La Folie, a spa with a sauna, steam room and massage parlor; Le Complot,l a cocktail bar that’s open four nights a week; and an incredible swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation. Suites starting at €350 a night.
