THE STORY: Once upon a time, at the end of a small road lined with century-old plane trees, there stood a small Provencal château. Delicately restored by the Bon family in the 1980s, currently run by granddaughters Maya and Mathilde Rollin, this 19th-century manor house brilliantly welcomes in travelers looking for a taste of chic monarchic life. After a day leisurely exploring the romantic seven-hectare estate, the kings and queens of the weekend can drift off to sleep in four choice options: the Maison de Maître and its elegant old-fashioned bedrooms (fireplaces, moldings, waxed furniture); the Mas des Cyprès suites, where you’ll find more contemporary loft accommodations; the Chapelle, tucked away in the heart of the estate, which has been transformed into two luminous bedrooms; or even the Lavoir, a cheeky independent house with stone walls and exposed rafters…. Suffice it to say that the château has lost none of its splendor. Double rooms starting at €325 a night.
TOILETRIES: Local and artisanal shampoo, body wash and soap.
BREAKFAST: Served on the terrace under the shade of the plane trees, with coffee or tea, fresh fruit juice, bread, butter, local jams, viennoiseries, cakes, cheeses, charcuterie…
