After running Le Bistrot d’Edouard and La Relève in Marseille, Edouard Giribone (aka Edú) has invested in a former plant nursery in the Alpilles mountain range. The result? A little slice of paradise decorated by his mamma, Annick Lestrohan (the creator of Honoré), with a big dining room (an oak table, rope suspension lamps) and a vibrant green terrace, where the chef sends out fresh Mediterranean plates. The day we went, we ordered à la carte and indulged in: a bright plate of grilled vegetables (broccoli, green asparagus, etc); delicious sea bream carpaccio intensified by slivers of red onion, fennel and lemon; incredible cuttlefish grilled whole on the BBQ, paired with carrots and artichokes; before an elegant chocolate lava cake with homemade whipped cream. // G.LeP.
