THE STORY: It was in a small grove, at the top of a hill, that Catherine decided to perch her cabins in two oak trees: Lily, the round one, and Candice, the square one. Two cozy refuges that she built on a patch of family land, at the mouth of the Gorges du Tarn canyon. Perfect for shacking up in pairs (as lovers or friends with benefits, ideally) or settling in as a family before kayaking down the rapids, 1 km from the summit. It’s possible to sleep in the caravan if you’re prone to vertigo, and to reserve a cold meal (€25 per person) or a hot dinner (€35 per person). Tree house cabins from €105 to €155 a night, depending on the season. The caravan starts at €75 a night.
TOILETRIES: Sheep’s milk soap made on the Causse Noir Mountain, in the Aveyron.
INTERNET: Free (wifi).
BREAKFAST: Included, with hot drinks, a baguette, viennoiseries, homemade jams, honey from the Aveyron, fruits, yogurts, locally produced fruit juice, all delivered in a basket to your terrace, or raised by a pulley.
