NUMBER OF ROOMS: 4 bedrooms and 4 lofts

CLOSED ANNUALLY: Closed from Christmas through New Years and in February.

THE STORY: In Montfort-l’Amaury, a small gem of a medieval village located 35 minutes outside the capital via the TER train at Paris-Montparnasse, you’ll find “Louise,” “Georges,” “Sofia,” “Jules” (pictured above), “Lucas,” “Margaux,” “Henri,” and “Juliette,” the eight bedrooms and lofts of La Minotte! Spread out in this beautiful house and its former stables, they could fill the pages of an interior design magazine: muted colors, antique objects, modern light fixtures, views of the beautiful village rooftops or the lush garden and its long pool – where you can splash around from May to October. What’s more, there are private hatha yoga classes and a wellness center with massages and a steam room that you can rent out. Double rooms starting at €155 a night (€165 from May to mid-October).

TOILETRIES: Be my Friend body wash, shampoo and lotion.

INTERNET: Wifi (free).

BREAKFAST: Buffet included for the bedrooms (€15-25 for the lofts), with breads, viennoiseries, muesli, fresh fruit, cheeses, homemade yogurt, freshly pressed juices, eggs made upon request…

MINI-BAR: There’s an electric teapot and a Nespresso coffee machine in the lofts and the Margaux bedroom.

LITTLE LUXURY: Four nights a week, upon reservation, a former chef at Lasserre and Akrame cooks up dinner at the communal table with excellent local products (€39/person).
