THE STORY: No, you’re not going to sleep in the tool shed, but rather in the former wooden barn of David and Sophie’s beautiful house. Which overlooks the Calonne valley and its green pastures. Transformed into a black wooden chalet done in the Norwegian style, the cabin offers two attic rooms and a cozy salon with fifties furniture, a fireplace and big bay windows to watch the cows grazing in the distance. Outside: a garden with apple trees, a badminton court, a frog pond, and horses rides for as far as the eye can see. Starting at €99 a night during the week, €350 for a 2-night weekend.
TOILETRIES: Shower gel and soap.
INTERNET: Free.
BREAKFAST : No, but there is tea, coffee, fruit juices, and grocery staples for the guests to use.
LITTLE LUXURY: For the kids, a tree house cabin next to the house. For their parents, Sophie and David’s great places to dine and shop around.
