CLOSED ANNUALLY: Open all year round
THE STORY: At the request of the new owners of Les Roches Blanches in Cassis, the Parisian architect Monika Kappel resigned the original mansion, built in 1887, turning it into a little Art Deco gem. Brass headboards, pastel tones, velvet furniture, and white marble, limestone or black granite bathrooms… the mood for the 45 rooms is straight out of the Roaring Twenties. If you take the exceptional geographic location – at the foot of the water! – and the openness of the space thanks to the terraces and bay windows into account, paradise feels quite close at hand…. Meanwhile, dive into one of the two pools or even the Mediterranean, after walking down the staircase carved into the rock face. Rooms starting at €290 a night.
