THE STORY: Located on a forested hillside in Hoeselt, a Flemish town of around 7,000 inhabitants, LOOF overlooks the fields and orchards of the Hesbaye. Dreamt up in collaboration with architect Eva Ghysen, Ine and Maarten’s very luxurious and minimalist cabin – clad in wood, concrete, steel and glass – is an ode to evasion. The primary goal here is simply to relax. And it appears to be working: no noise filters in through the bedroom’s massive floor-to-ceiling window, and you really feel like you’re the only people in the world! Kids are not allowed (they do allow babies under one however) and there’s no internet. Recently, LOOF welcomed its little sister (though in reality, they’re practically twins), BAST, but don’t worry, you won’t cross paths with your neighbors. Utter bliss! Cabins starting at €195 a night. // Si Moné
