The best pizza in Leuven? The dining room is all white, the tables and bar topped with marble, and the pizza oven is massive! Antico Pizza is where Gioti (Panagiotis Arkoudopoulos) serves up delightful Neapolitan pies whose sourdough crust is rested for 48 to 72 hours, including a perfect Margherita with Agerola fior di latte mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, Kalamata olive oil and basil from Bigh Farming in Brussels; an irresistible Salsiccia & Friarielli (fennel seed sausage and broccoli) with a slightly bitter flavor; or a Végétarienne with mushrooms and arugula… And for a little sweetness before you leave, there’s a good tiramisu. FEELING THIRSTY? Interesting beers like the IPA Fresh Hop Hooray from the Dok Brewing Company in Ghent (€3.80 for 330 ml) or the Simplex beer from Brasserie De Ranke (€4.60 for 330 ml), the Friuli cabernet franc from La Magnolia (€4 a glass) or homemade lemonade that was a little sweet for our taste (€4).
