THE STORY: Much like clay, MUD Residence is a blank page to shape as you wish. This guest house with two luxurious suites can easily be transformed into a podcast recording studio, a team building space or even a reception room for an art exhibition. Located between Heverless Woods and Meerdael Forest in Leuven’s lush green suburb of Oud-Heverlee, this 1960s villa was reimagined by Belgian interior architect Andy Kerstens, in collaboration with owners Sophie De Jonghe and Frank Smeys. This modular yet inspiring residence stands out with its contemporary and minimalist interiors. Designer pieces, including Charlotte Perriand stools, coexist with vintage furniture and natural materials. The result? A environment that’s conducive to work, rest or play, to trigger your mind’s “reset” button. Prices start at €495 a night. // Jeanne Jaco
