There may be no tropical forest in Flagey, but just off the bustling Rue Lesbroussart, you’ll find a peaceful canopy of another kind. Behind this welcoming apartment is Claire Mondy, who completely Scandi-nized a 19th-century maison de maître, to create a calming guesthouse with four beautiful rooms and a leafy garden retreat. So what can you expect? Spacious volumes, wood and marble details, and a mix of designer furniture from Nordic shores (Hay, Ferm Living, House doctor, Hübsch, Gubi) and vintage finds hand-picked from across the region. For the interior decorator who’s called Brussels her home since 2022, it’s a heartfelt homage to both her adopted city and her other beloved city, Copenhagen. And in between strolls around the Ixelles ponds, why not have a nosy at the ceramics and illustration exhibitions regularly hosted in-house. Rooms from €110. · Léa Ranchini
