Even after all these years, Les Amoureux’s yum-o-meter is still off the charts! The reason why? Their incredible pizzas (heart-shaped for girls…), prepared by Ivan and baked by Monica: an incomparable dough made with special organic Unica 68 flour, with puffed-up crusts that you’ll want to keep eating even after you’re full, and 27 possible combos – including three calzones, a truffle pizza, another with almonds and citrus pesto, and even others with sausage and turnip tops or squash and provola! Wolf them down without shame in the bric-a-brac space (industrial light fixtures, photos of Napoli, a poster of Maradona), like we did with ours, topped with cooked tomatoes, stracciatella, mozzarella, thinly sliced speck and basil. Before making the moment last a little longer with a buffalo milk panna cotta, topped with an orgasmic Sicilian pistachio cream. // E.DiB.
