A proper, quality coffee shop just a stone’s throw from a train station? It exists! Three minutes flat from Gent-Sint-Pieters, right next to the overpriced (and underwhelming) fast-coffee chains, Ezra had the brilliant idea of opening Full Circle Coffee in this strangely overlooked corner of the city. And this isn’t just any café, it’s also 100% vegan. From oat milk to pea milk, things are frothing up – and it’s all plant-based! Can’t decide? A small black Brazil Cascavel, made with beans roasted in house, does the job perfectly. Take it go or sip on the spot in the ultra-calm, laid-back space – yes, even at 7am! And for that spare hand, fill it with an unpretentious, but damn good cinnamon roll. Good news: stroll south of Ghent and you’ll stumble across a second Full Circle Coffee location! // Jeanne Jacot
THE HIDDEN GEM: The Maple Latte made with – you’ve guessed it – maple syrup, for a whistle-stop trip to Canada and back (€4.20)!
