On Rue de Lancry, you’ll find an ice cream parlor with a slick visual identity crafted by Studio Liqueur. Inside, Chloé Novat (who has a CAP patisserie diploma and was trained in ice cream making after switching careers) and Elyse Castaing (who works there part-time) have gone all out to bring you some of the coolest soft serve ice creams in Paris. What should you expect? A pale yellow facade, a wooden counter, white tiling on the walls, and everything you need to cool off, in sizes big (€6) and small (€4). Tasted the day we went: a “Combine des Fêtes” featuring the traditional feria colors (an homage to Elyse’s Landes roots), combining the sweetness of strawberries from Zingam and a creamy and very subtle Timut pepper ice cream. Also available on the blackboard menu, a “Combine Dorée” which combines two ice cream flavors: salted caramel and fior de latte. In short, the perfect cool treat! // Marise Effouet
THE HIDDEN GEM: The chocolate chip cookie, which you can grab on its own (€3) or as part of an ice cream combo (€2).
