Fermented grape juice and craft brews: that’s what the people of Nîmes will find in this shop run by the former restaurateur Simon Poussielgues – to be precise, 800 labels of wine and 300 labels of beer, all valiantly sourced. Chosen at random the other day: Les Bonnes Blanches, a Loire Chenin from the Mosses (€35), a Jura Trousseau from the Domaine des Marnes Blanches (€38) and a Vermentino skin-contact wine from La Mongestine (€29), among so many other bottles from France and further away (Partida Creus in Catalonia, Gut Oggau in Austria, Radikon in Italy). Also seen on the shelves: a Gueuze Tilquin (€18 for 750 ml), a kriek lambic from the Brasserie 3 Fonteinen (€13.80 for 370 ml), and even a Glenturret whiskey (€154 for 700 ml). As a bonus: you can even order your bottles directly on their website at flacons-cave.com. // Gwen Jacquère

The bullet-proof bottle: Lampyres, a Pineau d’Aunis vinified in the Roussillon by François-Xavier Dauré (€16).
