THE STORY: Feeling a little in over your head with your daily routine? Dip your toes into something new by taking refuge in one of the two Bleu Bicoque cabins, envisioned by architecture-loving aesthetes Edgar Catry and Arnold Deparis. Nestled along the banks of the Canche River way up in the Nord department of northern France, these two wood-clad retreats, bathed in natural light, were dreamt up by the architectural duo of Pierre Gossard and Guillaume Afchain, and then styled by designer and art director Camille Conreur – and they offer the promise of a true countryside escape! The cabin baptized “La Jaune” is an intimate, romantic space, designed for two adults and a child, and includes a fully-equipped kitchen, a cozy bedroom and breathtaking views of the river; “La Bleue,” which is more spacious and cozy feeling, sleeps up to four adults and two kids, with three bedrooms and a lovely living room area perfect for lounging about. What else can you expect? Stand-up paddleboarding on the pond, sunrise meditation sessions, evening apéros on the terrace… A dazzling spot! Cabins starting at €250 (for two guests).
