THE STORY: After living in Grenoble for twenty-five years, Séverine and Sylvain have returned home to their native Drôme département, with the shared dream of starting a bed and breakfast. Their chosen spot is a house that used to belong to a family of horse traders, remodeled by the two architects in a little over two years. The result? Five handsome Scandinavian-inspired bedrooms (plenty of wood and soft colors), including a family suite that can accommodate up to six people, in addition to a big summer kitchen where you can eat breakfast or prepare something simple to eat, and a lawn-side pool with uninterrupted views of the valley. Double rooms starting at €115 a night.

TOILETRIES: V-Touch Nature shower gel, shampoo and soap, a brand that uses mainly natural fragrances.
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: Included, with coffee, tea, orange juice, bread, viennoiseries, fresh fruit, fruit salad, French toast or homemade crepes.
LITTLE LUXURY: The movie theater with enough space for fifteen film buffs to watch something from their huge DVD collection (400 films for kids and adults) on the big screen.
