NUMBER OF ROOMS: 5 rooms and 1 cabin
ANNUAL CLOSURE: Closed from mid-November to late March.
THE STORY: Located in the heart of Provence behind a large stone wall in the small village of Dieulefit, a new page has been turned. Under the leadership of the owners’ son Antoine Godefroy, this stunning family home has been transformed into a literary guest house. And if you tend to judge a book by the title on its cover, Bicoque (French for “shack”) is anything but some rickety old building! Cream tones, a big glass ceiling, a stone basin, string lights… This place is a peaceful haven that can be broken up into chapters over the course of the day: a sunny coffee in the morning on the immaculate terrace; a trip back from the farmer’s market with a basket brimming with fruit; a dip in the heated pool; a conversation about a book around the dinner table… Once night falls, the last few lines of this story will be written in one of the five bedrooms (unfinished hardwood floors, elegant furniture, light linen sheets)… unless you opt for the cabin with its paneled walls, free-standing bathtub and private balcony! Double rooms starting at €86 a night.
TOILETRIES: Aesop shampoo and body wash.
BREAKFAST: Included, with coffee, tea, fruit juices from a local producer, fresh loaves of bread and viennoiseries from the village bakery…
LITTLE LUXURY: Letting your inspiration bubble up in the hot tub.
