NUMBER OF ROOMS: 2 rooms

THE STORY: After running an initial bed & breakfast in Morteau and directing the Côté Pont restaurant in Pontarlier, Arlette Laude now manages a gîte & breakfast in a place with a very “home sweet home” vibe, right in the center of town – and just twenty minutes away from the Jura slopes and the Swiss Les Rasses ski resort! On the last floor of a pretty 19th-century building, you’ll find two spacious bedrooms with a country chic aesthetic: oak floors, original marble fireplaces, furniture with patina, antiques, clawfoot bathtubs… €90 a night for a double room.
TOILETRIES: Organic body wash and shampoo.
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: Included and homemade, with products from both the vegetable patch and the market: seeded bread, jams, pine honey, poached fruits, sheep’s milk yogurt, blueberry cake…
MINI-BAR: There’s an electric teapot available in every room with local infusions, teas and coffees.
LITTLE LUXURY: The dinners that are available upon request, made with entirely local ingredients – Comté and Morbier cheese, Morteau sausage…
