THE STORY: Anna Karin, a former Swedish model, and Olivier, a photographer, had been dreaming for years about opening a bed & breakfast like the ones they used to stay in at Cape Town, while they were living in South Africa. Once they returned to France, ready for a change in lifestyle, they bought a dilapidated farm near Uzès… After three years of renovations and lots of elbow grease, the result is breathtaking: an irresistibly charming building, whitewashed walls, expertly waxed concrete, restored antique furniture, light wood, recycled tiles and a jewel of a pool… Simply put, a dreamlike Parisian-Scandinavian space in the Cévennes region! Rooms starting at €130 a night.
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: Included — a buffet with hot drinks, homemade crepes or cakes, breads, homemade jam, Cévennes honey, croissants, fruit, cheeses, ham, yogurts, cereals, eggs upon request, as well as a gluten-free option.
MINI-BAR: No, but there is a bottle of mineral water provided free of charge, along with a coffee machine and tea bags.
LITTLE LUXURY: The house, which can accommodate up to 18 guests, can also be rented out in its entirety.
