THE STORY: A former nursing home for Beaune’s Ursuline nuns, Clos is the perfect spot for a little peace and quiet! A stone’s throw from one of the most beautiful wineries in all of Burgundy, this 16th-century building is well protected by a cast-iron gate and houses two sophisticated and relaxing accommodations: La Maison, which reveals two suites done up in shades of beige, a lounge with exposed stone walls and a French-style ceiling, dominated by a monumental fireplace, along with a modern and extremely well-equipped marble kitchen; and Le Loft, which is just as spacious but spread out over two floors, connected by a concrete spiral staircase – at the top of which you can throw yourself into the XXL couch to watch your favorite movies on the video projector. And it all gives out onto a lovely gravel courtyard where you can snack, chitchat or just lounge about… Whatever your heart desires really! Le Loft starting at €250 a night, La Maison starting at €450 (two-night minimum stay).
TOILETRIES: Local, organic shampoo, soap and body wash.
BREAKFAST: No, but there’s everything you need to cook your own in the kitchen (a coffee maker, an electric tea kettle, a toaster, etc.) after picking up some lovely products in the nearby villages of Pommard, Meursault or Volnay.
LITTLE LUXURY: Rent out the house AND the loft for a memorable group excursion.
