NUMBER OF ROOMS: 34 rooms and 2 suites
ANNUAL CLOSURE: Open all year round
THE STORY: Quiet on set! Action! The Karmitz brothers – owners of the mK2 film production and distribution company – have pulled out all the stops for their new “screen & sleep” concept. Hôtel Paradis is the world’s first movie theater/hotel, with over 30 bedrooms and two suites designed with cinephiles in mind. From the small double room to the massive suite, it’s all there: king-sized screens, popcorn on the room service menu, dim lighting and as many videos on demand as you can handle – even from the bathtub! It’s a sweet cinematographic experience brought to life by a stellar cast, with Daniel Vaniche and Paula Castro (DVVD agency) in the role of architects, and Alix Thomsen for the decor. Kids won’t get bored either, between the Playstation 5 and the selection of cartoons. So, have you got your ticket? Rooms starting at €100 a night.
TOILETRIES: Organic Corsican “made in maquis” Casanera bath products.
INTERNET: Wifi.
BREAKFAST: Dreamt up by Marc Grossman (Bob’s Bike Shop), there’s an €18 option that includes coffee or tea, fresh fruit juice, homemade muesli or viennoiseries, plus à la carte extras like sourdough pancakes, vegan waffles or egg sandwiches.
LITTLE LUXURY: Enjoy an outdoor screening on the immense rooftop terrace, when the weather is nice.
