After Dirty Dick and Moonshiner, the winning trio behind Liquid Corp (Thomas Crand, Charles Aurambault and Alexis Poirson) have added another branch to their tree and perched a Bluebird on that branch. Named after a poem by Bukowski, this ultra ‘50s modernist space has lava stones, orange light fixtures and speakers possessed by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. On the other side of the dark wood bar, you’ll find Pasa Omerasevic and Danilo Grenci. Former mixologists at Moonshiner, this duo honors the menu composed of primarily gin cocktails (take the Clover Club for example, with Beefeater gin, cocoa butter, homemade raspberry syrup, egg whites and lemon juice, €11), along with a few other concoctions. Like the Cloud Nine, a torpedo of fruitiness and bitterness (Philosophe Vodka infused with hibiscus, agave and kumquat syrup, Merlet Lune d’Abricot liqueur, lemon juice and Timut pepper, €9) along with a few non-alcoholic combos prepared on the fly (€6-8). To snack on: Kalamata olives (€3), or, for something more substantial, club sandwiches with vegetable chips (€9). // A.B.
