Founded in 2010 by Alexandre Frezouls, who inherited his family’s winery Enclos de la Croix, this well-designed wine shop already had a reputation for its cutting-edge selection… and for its bright purple storefront! A few post-Covid brushstrokes and the arrival of Théva Babin, who recently joined the wine world, allowed this place to remain a reference on the Right Bank wine scene. The other day, chosen from among 250 labels organized by region on the blonde wooden shelves, we brought home La Marcette, a very rare Jura chardonnay from Le Cellier Saint-Benoit (€47), an incredible Burgundy Aligoté from Maxime Dubuet-Boillot (€25) and an iconic Silex from Didier Dagueneau (€130). But we also noticed a scotch ale from La Fabrik (€6 for 330 ml) and a few fine spirits (Corsican San Roccu gin, BM Signature whisky from the Jura). And to keep you fed if you feel like opening up one of your finds in house at night (in exchange for a €6 corkage fee in addition to the bottle price), there’s Iberian charcuterie, Galician octopus and sardines in olive oil. // Gwen Jacquère
