When Jérémie Kanza (Balls) and Camille Fourmont (La Buvette) step into the role of France’s Ray Kroc to launch the McDonalds of the future (top-quality, entirely homemade burgers), that means it’s fast food o’clock! Welcome to Baby Love Burger, a burger shop with a hipster aesthetic (cherry red linoleum, messages written out in neon lights, mirrors everywhere you look), where you can hang out in groups on the barstools to wolf down a real, authentic cheeseburger: an outstanding potato bun, ethically-farmed brisket patties, British cheddar, crisp lettuce, sliced onion and a sublime sauce that is reminiscent of MacDo – as the French call it –, all served with crispy fries which you can drown in mayonnaise or ketchup – served in the classic packets! Single, double (or even triple!) patties are available on the menu, alongside incredible fried chicken sandwiches or a perfectly executed veggie burger. Plus, there’s a delicious sundae for dessert, and a “baby meal” for the kids (€9.50), which includes a burger, fries and a well-designed toy. // James Patisson
