Chloé Sengier (Coco Donuts, Crème) totally transformed the old artisan ice cream shop Framboisier Doré, now complete with parquet flooring, orange banquettes, warm wooden paneling and a patio for when the weather’s nice, into a milk bar / ice cream parlor for 24-31-year-olds whose first language is English, gravitating around the Châtelain district. Come for breakfast (granola, acai bowls, homemade veggie buns with fried egg, grilled halloumi, avocado, spinach, pickled onions and BBQ sauce), lunch (seductive pulled pork tacos that could have been a little more tender, but which had a good ratio of tortilla to cheddar cheese and red cabbage), and enormous desserts – carrot cake, banana bread and a surprisingly light Basque cheesecake. And make sure to treat yourself to one of the tonka bean, fig and tiramisu ice creams, the white peach or lemongrass and verbena sorbets, or even a brioche ice cream sandwich. // Alain Belon
