Did the managers of Honest choose Rue du Croissant for their coffee shop just for laughs? Why don’t you ask them, before ordering their excellent brunch, served daily: cinnamon rolls, pancakes, carrot cake (a pure delight!), chia pudding, granola, coconut yogurt and apple-cinnamon compote, for something sweet; along with avocado toast, eggs Benedict (on the weekends), homemade buns stuffed with blackened chicken, avocado, red cabbage and tarragon mayo, or grilled cheese sandwiches with mushrooms and mustard, for the savory options. As for the coffee, there’s an espresso blend, plus Colombian and Ethiopian specialties, all roasted in-house, to take away or savor there, with options like Hazelnut or Peanut Butter lattes, in this classy, coffee-colored space designed by Études architect studio. // Mary Martin
