A brand-new spot that plays up traditional vibes! Jules Elmalan, of Mikado, along with his bros Antoine Cayron, Adrien Ottomani and Jonathan Parra (of the bar Les Garçons) brought this old dive on Boulevard des Arceaux back to life. And there, they embody their version of France: hearty dishes, a large terrace, wicker chairs and forest green faux marble tables. The day we went for lunch, there was nothing but sharp bistro cuisine to choose from, with a reassuring appetizer of eggs mimosa or a classic tuna tartare with sesame oil and peanuts; duck breast with salad and fries, or Toulouse sausage and mashed potatoes; and for dessert, an extremely creamy mascarpone mousse with chocolate-dipped raspberries, brioche French toast or dark chocolate mousse. And on Sundays, it’s all about skewered meats – lemon chicken, beef and shallots, teriyaki salmon and tomatoes, garlic parsley prawns… all classic hits!
