Lorraine-native Didier Fournier went from making boilers to a career in oyster farming, resulting in this charming cabana (straw parasols, driftwood tables, panoramic views of the ocean) filled with the goods. Run by his wife Alexandra, Ré Ostréa is the perfect spot for some briny shellfish: n° 2,3 or 4 oysters sourced directly from the water next to the cabin, along with beautiful pink shrimp, plump whelks, langoustines, crab… served individually or as mixed plates. Quench your thirst afterward with a café gourmand rigged out with clafoutis, a financier and a coconut macaroon, etc. An appreciable alternative, Didier also runs another cabana, Au QG de la Mer, a kilometer away. Cash only. // V.B.
